Healthy bhel puri


Healthy bhel puri is a protein rich snack Indian snacks.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 11/2 cup puffed rice
  • 6-7 crushed, baked puris
  • 1/2 cup whole green gram sprouts
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2  cup chopped tomatoes
  • 6 tablespoon imli ki chutney (tamarind sauce)
  • Salt to taste
For Garnish 
  • 1/2 recipe baked sev
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • Yield: 4
  • Servings: 4
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time : 5 minutes
  • Ready In: 15 minutes

Method

  • Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well. Serve immediately garnished with baked sev and chopped coriander

Bread pizza

Bread pizza is easy and instant recipe. Kids love this recipe.


Ingredients (serves 5)

  • Bread slices-8 pieces 
  • Pizza sauce-4-5 tablespoons 
  • 1 onion- chopped 
  • 1 tomato-chopped 
  • 1 capsicum-thinly sliced 
  • 6 mushrooms-thinly sliced
  • Corns kernel-1/2 cup 
  • Unsalted butter-2 tablespoons 
  • Grated chesse-1/2cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Italian seasoning 

Method

 Heat butter in a pan, add onions and saute till they become translucent and keep it aside. Add capsicum, tomatoes, corn kernel, mushrooms and salt saute for 2 - 3 minutes. Spread the butter on the bread slices and pizza sauce on the bread slices. Now spread saute vegetables on the bread slices.Top with grated cheese. Preheat the oven at 250 degree F and arrange bread slices in it. Bake bread pizza for 15 minutes until they turn slightly brown.Sprinkle Italian seasoning on it. Ready to serve .

Methamba (sweet and sour mango sauce)

It is sweet n sour sauce made of raw mango.

Ingredients
One raw mango
2 tablespoon jaggery
3 dry red chillies
Salt as per taste
Pinch of mustard seeds
1/4 tablespoon methi seeds
Pich of asafoetida
Pinch of turmeric
2 tablespoon cooking oil


Method
Peel and slice the raw mango thinly. Heat the oil and the spices. When they start to crackle,add the mango.Once it cooks,add jaggery and salt. Mix together ans store in the refrigerator.
Ready to serve.

Peach slush

Peaches are seen in abundance allover the market. It is my favorite fruit. It is used in cooking for custards, in pizzas,salads,jams etc. it comes in two main colors white and yellow. It is full of health benefits. It is full of vitamin c, potassium, fiber. Add peaches in your daily diet for good health.

Peach Slush

Ingredients
3 fresh peaches washed and coarsely chopped
1/3 cup lime juice
1/8 cup water

Method
Add peaches in the blender.add water and  until it become smooth. now pour it in a pan and freeze it for 2-4 hours. After 2-3 hours take it out of the freezer and scoop it out. Peach slush is ready.

Savory pomegranate rice


Ingredients
500 ml vegetable stock                                                                              Yield 4 servings
250 gm brown rice                                                                                   Preparation time in 25 minutes
1 orange zest                                                                                              Cooking time 15 minutes
1 lemon zest                                                                                              Ready in 10 minutes
120 gm pomegranate seeds                                                                      
1 tablespoon crushed coriander seeds
1 tablespoon ground cumin seeds
50 gm toasted flaked almonds
Salt to taste

Method
Boil rice and vegetable stock.Drain the water from the rice and keep it aside for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes add vegetable stock, orange zest, crushed cumin seeds, coriander seeds, flaked almonds and salt. Ready to serve. Enjoy!!

Baked Corn Stuffed Bread Cups

Ingredients
 For bread cup
5 pieces of bread slices
Butter garnishing

For the filling
3/4 tablespoon oil
1/4 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup tomato
3/4 cup sweet corn kernels
2-4 green chillies
,chopped

Other ingredients
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
1/8 cup grated processed cheese

Method
For the bread cups. Remove the crust from the bread slices. Wrap the bread slices in a muslin cloth ans steam them for 5 to 7 minutes in a steamer. Roll a little with a rolling pin and press into cavities of a greased muffin tray.Brush with melted butter and bake in hot oven at 200 degree Celsius until crisp.Keep aside.

For the filling
Heat oil in a pan,add the onion saute till they become transparent. Add the capsicum,tomatoes,green chillies and cook for 5 minutes over a medium flame. Add the corn,salt and cook it another for two minutes. Divide the filling into 12 equal portion. Keep aside.

Now fill the filling,
Fill the portion of filling in each bread cups,top it with tomato ketchup and cheese on it.bake in the pre-heat oven at 200 degree Celsius until cheese melts down.serve immediately.

Papaya facial at home

Papaya is a tropical fruit and it is good for skin. It is full of vitamins,calcium and magnesium and many other nutrients. It is a natural toner and cleanser.It has anti-aging properties.It enhance the skin structure . Now, say bye to salon and spare 20 minutes for your skin. It will do wonders for your skin.

Face cleansing : use one tablespoon of yogurt and mix the tomato juice thoroughly till they blend. Apply all over the face, neck and avoid the eye area. Massage gently using the finger tips, in circular motion.for one minute. After one minute wash it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a towel so, that the skin is not completely dry. This will clean your face of any pollutants.
Rice powder


Facial :  Mix 2 to 3 tablespoon of plain, fresh and unsweetened yogurt,half tablespoon of honey, 1 medium sized cucumber finely ground into pulp 2 tablespoon papaya pulp and half tablespoon of rice powder into a paste. Apply this pack all over your face and neck and massage  gently using upward strokefor 10 minutes. Wash off  with lukewarm water. Now, dab the entire face and neck with cotton soaked in chilled rose water

 Toner : mix the apple and cucumber juice and apply it on your face for 10 minutes. apply it under your eyes also.wash it off after 10 minutes.

Your skin will rejuvenated for a week. You will see a difference in your skin. Do it every week.

Lunch at Kasbah - Review





Hello,friends today i will share my experience at Kasbah restaurant which is located in New Delhi in Greater Kailash (N pocket). It is  one of the most happening place of Delhi.and located in southeast area of Delhi,preferred for High-Quality products. There are many restaurants but we chose Kasbah. It is divided in three sub-units for different cuisine. Ground floor is for private parties, first floor is for Italian cuisine, all bar one is one the second floor, third floor was for Zaffran but it got closed now. We decided to go in all bar one.

Ambiance
I loved the interior of this place. It was spacious and comfortable seating area. I must say it was pretty classy.

Food
The menu was appetizing. They do have well elaborated menu. Both veg and non-veg were available but we chose vegetarian.we ordered North Indian food which include masala papad and fresh lime soda in the starters. In the main course we ordered makhmali paneer and dal tadka ,raita, naan and missi roti

Best in food
Makhmali panner, masala papad and missi roti were up to the mark.


Staff
we were warmly welcomed by the servers.They were courteous and attentive also. I was really impressed by them.

Green pea,Corn and Peanut Salad

Ingredients
60 gm spring onion, finely chopped
Juice of 2 lemons
500 gm green peas, freshly steamed
50 gm red pepper diced
10 gm curry leaves, fried
20 gm green chillies, finely chopped
10 gm garlic, crushed and chopped
250 gm diced tomatoes
Salt to taste
Crushed black pepper to taste
50 gm peanut, roasted
100 gm corn kernels,steamed
30 gm fresh coriander, chopped 

Method
Process the chopped tomato, garlic, lime juice,salt,coriander, green chillies and half of the spring onion into the salsa and set aside.Mix the remaining ingredients except the peanuts and curry leaves.
Mix salsa to these ingredients and adjust the seasoning.Pour into the serving bowls and sprinkle the roasted peanuts and curry leaves.
Ready to serve.
